ACTT ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION 2016

St Mary's College took home top honours at the 6th Annual Essay Writing Competition of The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) 2016. Marcus James and Jose Pillai (from right to left), both of Form 5-6, under the mentorship of Ms. Spencer, placed first and second respectively in the Secondary Schools category.
 

Marcus and Jose won the top individual prizes of an iPad Air 2, iPad mini and $1000 worth of book vouchers, with their essay which outlined a proposal on how continual improvement strategies adopted by a university might impact the institution.
 

Ms. Spencer represented The College at the ACTT'S prize giving ceremony where St. Mary's College emerged overall winner of the Secondary Schools category and received the school prize of $3000.00. Winner, Marcus James, described the experience as 'unique and rewarding'.
